T-shirt catalogue: compare fits, jersey weights and decoration routes
Use this T-shirt catalogue to select a starting style and define the changes needed for your programme. SLSPOLO builds crew neck, V-neck, oversized, long-sleeve, pocket, henley, performance and all-over print tees in 130–260 gsm knit options shown on the live manufacturing page. Every order is made to specification from 100 pieces per style per colour, with sizes mixed within one colourway.
Choose the body shape before the fabric finish
The crew neck is the broadest starting point for retail basics, printed programmes and uniforms. A V-neck changes the neckline while keeping the same cut-and-sew route. Oversized and boxy tees use a dropped shoulder and a heavier body to hold the silhouette. Long-sleeve tees extend the same base into a layering style, while pocket tees add a separate front component that should be positioned in the approved specification.
A henley uses a button placket without a collar, so its front construction needs to be approved together with the neckline. Performance tees use lighter jersey or interlock options and can carry sports decoration. All-over sublimation styles use polyester fabric, with artwork planned across the panels before sewing. Each of these is a separate style for the minimum order: styles cannot be combined to reach 100 pieces, while sizes can be mixed inside one style and colour.
Select the closest product from the catalogue and state whether you want the fit copied, widened, shortened, lengthened or moved to a different neckline. If you have a tech pack, send the size chart and construction notes. If you have reference photographs, identify the closest catalogue item and mark the required changes. The approved sample sets the physical fit reference for bulk.
Match jersey weight to the silhouette and programme
The live T-shirt manufacturing page groups weights by use. A 140–160 gsm option suits lightweight and draped styles. A 180–200 gsm option covers the standard retail tee. A 220–260 gsm option supports an oversized or boxy silhouette. The fabric table also lists combed ring-spun jersey at 160–220 gsm, carded open-end jersey at 160–200 gsm, tri-blend jersey at 130–160 gsm, performance interlock at 140–180 gsm and textured jersey at 160–200 gsm.
Weight is only one part of the approval. The same gsm can feel different when the yarn and knit structure change, so the manufacturing page recommends comparing swatches at two weights before committing. Record the selected fabric name, target gsm, colour reference and intended decoration in the order file. A smooth surface supports detailed print work, while a performance route is selected together with the decoration method and end use.
For Pima styles, use the separate Pima cotton sourcing guide to set the document request. The confirmed guide names mill certificates, transaction records and fibre length data as buyer checks. Supima wording is used only where the required licensed chain is documented. This catalogue does not present SLSPOLO as a Supima certified company.
Compare style, weight, construction and wash approval together
| Style | Confirmed weight | Construction focus | Decoration route | Approve after wash review |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Classic crew neck | 140–260 gsm | Neck rib, shoulder tape, side seam and twin-needle hem | Screen print, DTG, DTF, embroidery or heat transfer | Neck shape and measurements against the size chart |
| V-neck | 140–200 gsm | V-neck finish, shoulder tape, side seam and hem | Screen print, DTG, DTF or heat transfer | Neckline position and body measurements |
| Oversized or boxy | 220–260 gsm | Dropped shoulder, body width, sleeve opening and hem | Screen print, puff print, embroidery or DTF | Silhouette and full size measurements |
| Long-sleeve | 160–240 gsm | Neck finish, sleeve length, cuff or sleeve hem and body hem | Screen print, embroidery, DTF or heat transfer | Sleeve and body measurements |
| Henley | 180–240 gsm | Button placket, neckline, side seam and hem | Screen print, embroidery or heat transfer | Placket position and body measurements |
| Performance or all-over print | 140–180 gsm | Sports fit, panel shape, side seam and hem | Sublimation, heat transfer or DTF | Panel alignment, fit and measurements |
Build the neckline, seam and hem into the sample brief
The confirmed standard route uses a side-seamed body, a coverstitched neck rib, shoulder-to-shoulder tape and twin-needle sleeve and bottom hems. The side seams control the silhouette against the approved pattern. The neck rib is set to the body opening so the shape can be checked after the sample wash. Shoulder tape supports the neckline through wear, and the twin-needle hem finishes the sleeve and body edges.
These points belong in the sample brief, not in a later packing note. State the neckline type, neck rib width, shoulder construction, sleeve length, hem depth and label position. For a henley, add the placket depth and button details. For an oversized tee, add the dropped shoulder, chest width, body length and sleeve opening. For a performance tee, add the panel and decoration placements.
Sampling normally covers two consultation rounds on the live manufacturing page. The first locks the silhouette, fabric weight and construction. The second reviews neck rib width and recovery, hem depth, label placement and the way print or embroidery sits on the panel. One sample goes to the buyer for approval and one stays at the factory as the sealed inspection reference.
Select decoration and private label before bulk approval
Confirmed T-shirt decoration routes include screen print with plastisol, water-based, discharge and puff options; DTG; DTF; sublimation on polyester; flat and 3D embroidery; and heat transfer. The choice is written against the fabric and artwork rather than added after the garment is complete. Screen print uses an approved strike-off. Embroidery uses an approved stitch file and physical sample. Transfer and sublimation artwork are approved at the stated placement.
Private label options include woven neck labels, printed care and size labels, hangtags, inside-neck print, custom bags and printed cartons. The fixed trim minimum is 1,000 pieces for woven labels and hangtags, while jacquard and silicone badges begin at 300. These sit alongside the 100 piece garment minimum and do not increase the finished garment quantity.
Approve the decorated sample, label positions and packing marks together. The production file should show the artwork version, placement, finished size, colour reference and selected method. It should also show which trims are custom and which remain generic. That gives the sewing, decoration and packing teams one signed reference.
Control the run from incoming fabric to final cartons
- Send a tech pack, catalogue reference or photographs with the target style, colour and quantity.
- Confirm fabric name and gsm, body fit, neckline, sleeve, hem, decoration and private label package.
- Approve colour, fabric and decoration references before the first physical sample.
- Review the sample in 3–7 days and return one set of measurement and construction comments.
- Approve the pre-production sample in bulk fabric and trims, then seal it as the line reference.
- Run bulk production in 15–25 days with cutting, in-line, finishing and packing checks.
- Measure the finished size run against the approved specification and sample reference.
- Complete AQL 2.5 final inspection before handover.
Incoming fabric is checked against the approved weight, colour and surface reference. Cutting checks compare panels with the approved pattern. In-line checks cover stitch construction, neckline, hem and side seams. Finishing checks cover loose threads, stains, pressing and measurements. Final cartons are sampled to AQL 2.5 against the sealed sample under the ISO 9001 quality system.
SLSPOLO operates 18,000+ m² across Dongguan and Hunan, with four production lines, 180+ staff and monthly output of 150,000–200,000 pieces. Trade terms are EXW, FOB Shenzhen Yantian or DDP. Payment is T/T with a deposit and balance before shipment, or L/C at sight for full container loads. Production periods exclude transport.
Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum order for a T-shirt style in this catalogue?
The minimum is 100 pieces per style per colour, with sizes mixed within that colourway. Different styles cannot be combined to reach the minimum because each uses its own pattern and production setup. Woven labels and hangtags start at 1,000 pieces, while jacquard and silicone badges start at 300.
Which T-shirt weight should I choose for an oversized or standard fit?
The live manufacturing guide places lightweight and draped styles at 140–160 gsm, the standard retail tee at 180–200 gsm and oversized or boxy styles at 220–260 gsm. Weight should be approved with the knit and yarn because two fabrics at the same gsm can give a different hand and silhouette.
Can SLSPOLO make Pima cotton T-shirts for a private label programme?
Pima styles appear in the live catalogue and have a separate sourcing guide. For a Pima programme, request the applicable mill certificate, transaction records and fibre length data for the selected lot. Supima wording is used only where the licensed chain is documented, and SLSPOLO does not claim its own Supima certification.
Which printing and embroidery methods are available for T-shirts?
Available routes include screen print with plastisol, water-based, discharge and puff options; DTG; DTF; sublimation on polyester; flat and 3D embroidery; and heat transfer. The selected method, artwork version, placement, finished size and colour reference are approved on a strike-off, stitch-out or physical sample before bulk production begins.
How long do T-shirt sampling and bulk production take?
Samples take 3–7 days after the design, fabric and artwork are confirmed. Bulk production takes 15–25 days after sample approval and deposit. These periods cover factory production and do not include transport. The order quotation records the dates together with EXW, FOB Shenzhen Yantian or DDP terms.
What quality checks are used on a T-shirt production run?
Checks cover incoming fabric, cutting panels, neckline construction, side seams, hems, decoration, pressing, stains and measurements against the approved size specification. The sealed pre-production sample stays at the factory as the physical reference. Finished cartons are sampled to AQL 2.5 under the documented ISO 9001 quality system.
