Jacket catalogue: outerwear blocks, closures, pockets and woven fabric options

Use this jacket catalogue to shortlist an outerwear block, then send the reference with the fabric, colour, size range and construction you need. The archive covers windproof and water-repellent woven tops, a panelled hard-shell mountain coat, lightweight woven running jackets and knitted training tops. Every jacket is made to order from 100 pieces per style per colour, with sizes mixed inside one colourway, and styles built with bonding or taped seams start at 200 pieces per style per colour. Samples take 3–7 days after fabric and artwork are confirmed, and bulk production takes 15–25 days after sample approval and deposit.

Compare the jacket blocks in this catalogue

The nine references in this archive fall into four working blocks. The commuting block holds the windproof water-repellent winter jacket and the light outdoor commuting knitted top with chest pockets. The training block holds the two woven training tops from the TRAINING Series and the zippered knitted training top. The running block holds the lightweight woven running jacket. The mountain block holds the panelled hard-shell mountain coat, together with the waterproof and moisture-permeable woven top and the waterproof and breathable woven top coat.

Choose one card as the reference and then list the changes. State the fabric and any lining, the front closure, the pocket layout, the hood, the cuff and hem treatment, the colour, the size range and the decoration. Two references cut in the same fabric but built on different blocks count as two styles, and each one carries its own 100 piece minimum. Sizes can be mixed inside one style and colour.

Choose between knitted and woven outer layers

The woven references in this catalogue are recorded as windproof, water-repellent or waterproof tops, as a hard-shell mountain coat and as a lightweight running jacket. The knitted references are recorded as training tops and as a zippered sports top. That split is the first decision in the brief, because it sets the fabric, the seam route and the finishing steps that follow.

No performance figure is published for these references. The catalogue does not give a water column value, a moisture permeability value, a wind resistance value or a certification grade, and none should be read into it. If your programme requires a tested result, we can arrange third party testing at a laboratory you nominate, and the nominated laboratory must be located in mainland China. The approved fabric, finish and test scope are recorded in the order file before sampling begins.

Fabric can also be sourced from a supplier you nominate. Send the mill name, article number, composition and target weight so the booking can be planned inside the sampling window.

Set the closure, pockets and fit in the brief

Front closure, pocket layout, hood, cuff and hem are not implied by a product card. They are recorded in the order file before the first sample is cut. The catalogue shows a zippered knitted training top and a commuting knitted top with chest pockets. For every other card, state the closure and pocket layout you want and we will confirm whether the block can carry it.

Fit and size range are approved on the physical sample. Send the size range and the grading rules, and record whether the jacket is intended to be worn over a hooded or knitted layer, so the chest and sleeve width can be built into the sample. Any change to the block after approval is recorded as a new reference in the development file.

Compare jacket references by fabric, construction and finishing

The table below compares the references in this catalogue by fabric family, the construction points that need approval and the decoration or finishing route. Use it to prepare the brief before you request a quotation.

Decoration, laser cutting and bonding available in-house

Decoration routes available for these references include embroidery, heat transfer and screen print. The selected method, artwork version, placement and finished size are approved on a physical sample or strike-off before bulk production begins, and that approval is recorded in the order file.

The in-house processes are laser cutting, garment wash, heat transfer, flatlock and bonding. Laser cutting is used mainly on synthetic fabric, and the cutting action seals the edge it makes. Programmes that use bonding start at 200 pieces per style per colour, while the other references follow the standard 100 piece minimum. Finished samples are re-measured after any wash step, and the readings are shared with you.

How a jacket run is checked from materials to cartons

Each style has an approved order file and a sealed pre-production sample that stays at the line as the physical reference. Checks cover incoming materials, cutting, in-line construction, finishing, measurements and packing, and finished cartons are randomly sampled to AQL 2.5. Incoming fabric is weighed on a round-knife gsm scale and the reading is recorded. The packing line runs needle detection.

SLSPOLO has worked to documented ISO 9001 procedures since 2009 and operates 18,000+ m² across Dongguan and Hunan with four production lines, 180+ staff and monthly output of 150,000–200,000 pieces. Trade terms are EXW, FOB Shenzhen Yantian or DDP. Payment is T/T with a deposit and the balance before shipment, or L/C at sight for full container loads. Samples are chargeable, and the sample charge can be credited against the first order when one style reaches 300 pieces. For US and Canada programmes we have produced orders carrying printed RN and CA numbers.

To start, send the catalogue link or your tech pack, the quantity per colour, the size range, the fabric and finish you want, the closure and pocket layout, the decoration placements and the trade term. If a decision is still open, list it as a separate option so the alternatives can be priced side by side. We will return a written quotation with the sampling and bulk dates, the finished minimum and any separate trim minimum.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum order for a jacket style in this catalogue?

The minimum is 100 pieces per style per colour, and sizes can be mixed within that colourway. Styles built with bonding or taped seams start at 200 pieces per style per colour. Separate trims carry their own minimums: woven labels and hangtags start at 1,000 pieces, while jacquard labels and silicone badges start at 300. Those trim minimums sit alongside the garment minimum and do not add to it.

Which fabric should I choose for a windproof or waterproof jacket?

This catalogue carries both woven and knitted references. The woven cards are recorded as windproof, water-repellent or waterproof tops, as a hard-shell mountain coat and as a lightweight running jacket, while the knitted cards are recorded as training tops and as a zippered sports top. Fabric can also be sourced from a supplier you nominate. The approved fabric and finish are recorded in the order file before sampling begins.

Can SLSPOLO test the waterproof or moisture permeability of my jacket fabric?

Third party testing can be arranged at a laboratory you nominate, and the nominated laboratory must be located in mainland China. No performance figure is published for the references in this catalogue, and no water column, moisture permeability or wind resistance value should be read into the product cards. The test scope you need is written into the order file before sampling begins, and the result is reviewed against the approved fabric.

How long do jacket sampling and bulk production take?

Samples take 3–7 days after the fabric, construction inputs and artwork are confirmed. Bulk production takes 15–25 days after sample approval and deposit. These periods cover factory production and do not include transport. The order quotation records the dates together with the trade term, which is EXW, FOB Shenzhen Yantian or DDP, and the payment route, which is T/T or L/C at sight for full container loads.

What does SLSPOLO check during a jacket production run?

Each style has an approved order file and a sealed pre-production sample that stays at the line. Checks cover incoming materials, cutting, in-line construction, finishing, measurements and packing, and finished cartons are randomly sampled to AQL 2.5. Incoming fabric is weighed on a round-knife gsm scale and the reading is recorded, and the packing line runs needle detection. The system follows documented ISO 9001 procedures held since 2009.

What should I send to receive a jacket quotation?

Send the catalogue link or your tech pack, the quantity per colour, the size range, the fabric and finish, the front closure and pocket layout, the decoration placements and the target trade term. If several options remain open, list them separately so the alternatives can be priced side by side. Samples are chargeable, and the sample charge can be credited against the first order when one style reaches 300 pieces.
