Use this shorts catalogue to shortlist a length and a waistband, then send the reference with the fabric, colour, size range and construction you need. The archive covers workout shorts, golf shorts, tennis skorts and golf skirts, knitted running and fitness shorts, woven shorts for cycling and commuting, and a two-piece athleisure set. Every style is made to order from 100 pieces per style per colour, with sizes mixed inside one colourway. Sampling runs 3–7 days once the fabric and artwork are confirmed, and bulk production runs 15–25 days from sample approval and deposit.

Compare short lengths and end uses in the catalogue

The workout references are recorded by the fabric hand and the job they do: soft smooth fabric, ultra light quick dry, lightweight with four-way stretch, breathable and lightweight for outdoor training, and quick-dry training shorts with pockets. The golf references are recorded as lightweight quick-dry shorts with four-way stretch and as relaxed fit walking shorts with pockets. The knitted references cover cooling running and fitness shorts. The woven references cover TRAINING Series shorts, urban cycling shorts and urban commuting shorts.

Pick the closest card, then state the length you want. Inseam length, rise and leg opening are recorded in the order file rather than read from the card, because the same block can be cut to several lengths. Two references in the same fabric but at different lengths count as two styles, and each one carries its own 100 piece minimum. Sizes can be mixed inside one style and colour.

Build the waistband, rise and drawcord

The waistband is the first construction point to approve. Cards in this archive are recorded with an elastic waist, with a high waist, with a slim fit and with a relaxed fit, so state which one the brief needs and record the rise together with it. Drawcord, tipping, eyelets and bar tacks belong in the same approval, together with the drawcord exit position and the stitch that holds it.

Skorts and skirts use the same decisions plus the short underneath. The catalogue carries a stretchy high waist slim fit golf skirt, a stretchy high waisted tennis skort with pleats, and a summer two-piece athleisure set with a loose short-sleeved top and high waisted shorts. For a set, the top and the bottom are counted as separate styles with separate minimums.

Liners, pockets and leg openings

One reference in this archive is recorded as lounge shorts with a liner. If your programme needs a liner, state the liner fabric, the length and the attachment points in the brief, and approve it on the physical sample. Several cards are recorded with pockets; state the pocket type, the position, the depth and whether they close, then confirm the placement on the sample before bulk cutting.

Leg opening, hem treatment and any side vent are approved together with the length. Record the leg opening on the size chart so the graded sizes can be checked against it. Flatlock is available in-house for the seams that need to sit flat, and the stitch type is recorded in the order file.

Knitted and woven shorts: what changes in the make-up

This archive carries both knitted and woven shorts, and the two groups are cut and finished on different routes. The table below compares the references by fabric family, the fit and waist details to record, and the points to approve on the sample.

Sizing, colours and the separate trim minimums

The minimum is 100 pieces per style per colour, with sizes mixed inside one colourway. Sizes are recorded on the approved size chart, and the graded set is checked against the sealed sample. Separate trims carry their own minimums: woven labels and hangtags start at 1,000 pieces, while jacquard labels and silicone badges start at 300. Those trim minimums sit alongside the garment minimum and do not add to it.

Decoration routes available for these references include screen print, heat transfer and embroidery, with the method, artwork version, placement and finished size approved before bulk. Laser cutting is available in-house and is used mainly on synthetic fabric, where the cutting action seals the edge. We have produced orders for the US and Canada that print RN and CA numbers on the label.

Inline checks that keep a shorts run consistent

Production for a shorts style works from the approved order file and from a sealed pre-production sample that stays available at the line for comparison. Checks run across incoming materials, cutting, in-line construction, finishing, measurements and packing, and finished cartons are randomly sampled to AQL 2.5. Fabric arriving at the factory is weighed on a round-knife gsm scale and the reading is logged, and needle detection is in place on the packing line.

The production base covers 18,000+ m² across Dongguan and Hunan, with four production lines, 180+ staff and monthly output of 150,000–200,000 pieces, working to documented ISO 9001 procedures held since 2009. Trade terms are EXW, FOB Shenzhen Yantian or DDP. Payment is T/T with a deposit and the balance before shipment, or L/C at sight for full container loads, and sample charges can be credited against the first order once one style reaches 300 pieces. Testing at a laboratory you nominate can be arranged, and that laboratory must be located in mainland China.
